Frequently asked questions

Is my plan good enough for the inspection?

Sketch makes the drawing and a PDF with a title block that also names the approved inspection body (keuring in Dutch, contrôle in French). Whether your installation complies with the AREI/RGIE is judged by the approved inspection body at the inspection. Sketch does not check your installation and approves nothing.

Is it really free and unlimited?

Yes. You do not need an account, and there is no limit on circuits, symbols, pages or projects.

Where does my data stay?

In your browser. Your drawing is saved automatically on your device, the PDF is created in your browser and a Trikker file is read locally. Nothing is uploaded. If you clear your browser data, the drawing is gone: so save it as a file too.

Who is responsible for the content of my plan?

You are. Sketch draws; the inspection is done by the approved inspection body. You stay responsible for the content of your plans.

Do I need to consult an electrician?

Yes. Sketch helps you map out your installation and discuss it. Agree the diagram with an electrician before the work is done and inspected.
